Elsa and Phil in the service department worked with me extensively to identify and attack several problems I was having with my 981 GT4 as I was traveling and in NOLA for the week. Outstanding customer service from both of them and I'm very satisfied, 1. Phil performed a CAN ECU scan with the PIWIS to isolate menu errors and debug error codes. 2. Ventilation fan randomly stops and restarts: Phil alerted me to a factory bulletin about a sticktion problem from moisture/debris with the fan motor armature and the remedy. I performed it immediately upon leaving the dealership as it wasn't completely frozen. It has not happened again. 3. After discussing a condition where this car repeatedly "misses" at high RPM's (not currently in memory) Phil and I discussed the electrical issues surrounding Lithium-ion batteries in some GT3s causing a similar problems. He discovered that my CAN ECU was not programmed for the LI-ion battery installed before I bought the car and corrected the CAN entry. I won't know if the ignition miss is fixed until another track day but the car runs much smoother now... an unexpected benefit. 4. Phil suspects that the LI-ion battery mismatch with the ECU also caused the "Steering Support" error as well. It has not reappeared in 9 hours of running the car.
